Unleash your creativity and bring your LEGO creations to life with our LEGO Stop Motion Class!
This is a beginner-level class for kids ages 6+
Are you ready to take your stop motion animation skills to the next level? Dive into the world of advanced techniques, storytelling, and cinematic magic with our expert-led course.
What You'll Learn:
- Advanced stop motion techniques
- Lighting and cinematography for LEGO animation
- Storytelling and scriptwriting tips
- Editing and post-production tricks
- Special effects using LEGO bricks
- Collaboration and feedback sessions
Students should with a device that contains the Stop Motion Studio app installed and activated (free app is perfectly fine!)
Students will go home with the inspiration and knowledge to keep animating at home + 1 small bag of BULK LEGO with minifigs and stop motion supplies!
Meet the Instructor
Aarica North is a freelance stop-motion animator, currently based in Portland, OR.
Notable animation credits and affiliates include Boots Riley’s I’m A Virgo, Henry Selick’s Wendell & Wild, KidSuper’s 2020 Paris Fashion Week runway show, LAIKA, Stoopid Buddy, and Festival Stop Motion Montreal.
Raised internationally in Mozambique, San Salvador, and Moscow, she brings a unique and collaborative perspective to her work. She has a BFA in Film & TV from NYU Tisch and has continued to travel as an adult, working in NYC, Portland, Oakland, and LA.
Aarica has taught workshops for Bricks & Minifigs Portland and is excited to return. Other teaching experience includes PHAME, The Sou’wester, MetroEast, New York Film Academy.

Are all of your products listed on your website?
No - our website only contains a (small) selection of our products. Most of our new sets are listed, but we do not list all of our used sets or minifigures online - so we have plenty more in the store! We are located at 3040 NE Sandy Boulevard in Portland, Oregon.
