In honor of Father’s Day, Bricks & Minifigs Portland will be hosting our first-ever LEGO car derby! Grown-up and child teams will be able to construct a custom car from our bulk tables, outfit their creation with LEGO weight bricks and specially made derby wheels, and send them flying down our famous yellow racetrack! 

This is an open registration family event for grown-ups to engage in with their children. Staying for the entire length of the event is not required. 

As track space is limited to 3 racers at a time, we will have additional activities for builders to enjoy while they wait to race:

• LEGO Car Showcase 
• MOC Design Competition
• BYO Racecar Driver

At 12:00 pm, the Main Race of the B&M Grand Prix will begin with all previously registered teams competing in a tournament bracket to determine which LEGO car reigns supreme! Along with a brick-built trophy, the winner will also be taking home a special prize.

*Entries for the Main Race will close promptly at 11:45 am

Each team will leave with their LEGO car (minus the shop-supplied weight brick and derby wheels), a special participation prize, and one Small Tub of bulk LEGO to continue building their car at home.
